I absolutely adore cheesecake for dessert but sometimes the prep can just be too much on a weeknight. Plus, most cheesecakes require a fairly long time to cool and set – who wants to wait for that?

Instead, I make this divine cherry cheesecake dip that I can whip up in minutes.
What to Dip
Table of Contents
I like to really satisfy my cheesecake craving by using graham crackers as my vehicle to get the dip from the dish. However, cookies like wafers, pizzelles or lady fingers will work as well. When I am in the mood for a salty/sweet snack, I dip pretzels into this dip, too!
Fresh fruit like strawberries or apple slices are great choices too.

Cheesecake Dip
Some cherry cheesecake dips call for marshmallow fluff, but this cherry cheesecake recipe with powdered sugar and heavy cream is light and fluffy on its own. I love that it has so few ingredients, and that most of them are already in my cabinets and refrigerator.

And while I do enjoy noshing on this dip on my own, it’s also perfect to take to a party or to whip up when someone swings by the house. It’s also great for a snack for the kiddos, and they can even help to make it, it’s that simple.
Cherry Cheesecake Dip Ingredients
- Cream cheese – ensuring that you soften the cream cheese will make sure that you can easily mix together the ingredients. Leave cream cheese on the counter for about an hour prior to making the dip.
- Unsalted butter- make sure that the butter that you use is definitely unsalted. The coarse Kosher salt will add plenty of flavor.
- Powdered sugar– using this instead of granulated sugar will help to keep the texture smooth.
- Vanilla extract– make homemade vanilla extract, or just grab some at the store.
- Coarse Kosher salt– salt helps to round out the flavors in the recipe, elevating ingredients like the sweetness of the powdered sugar.
- Heavy whipping cream– using heavy cream helps to build the creaminess of the dip.
- Cherry pie filling– any brand of cherry pie filling will work for spreading on this delightful dip. Make sure you use pie filling, not just canned cherries.

How To Make Cherry Cheesecake Dip
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or in a large mixing bowl using an electric hand mixer, combine the cream cheese and butter until smooth. This should take just a minute or two.
- Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract and Kosher salt to the mixture. Then, beat for one minute until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Pour in the whipping cream. Beat the mixture for about two minutes, ensuring that the finished product is light and fluffy. It should take approximately two minutes.
- Pour the cheesecake dip into the serving bowl. Using a spatula spread the dip evenly, making sure there is at least 1-2 inches depth from the top of the dish. You may want to pick the bowl up and tap it on the counter several times to help even out the dip and have it settle in the bowl.
- Finally, spoon the cherry pie filling over the top, ensuring to cover all of the cheesecake.
- For best results, refrigerate for an hour before serving so the dip has time to set up back.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s incredibly easy- you can’t get creamy cheesecake flavor any easier than this!
- The ingredients are handy– you probably have most ingredients in your panty already.
- So fast– with only 5 steps, this dip is super simple and quick to make.

Variations on Cherry Cheesecake Dip
Want to change up your cherry cheesecake dip? Throw in some additions or trade out the toppings.
- Instead of cherry filling, use any other fruity flavor pie filling that you can find.
- Substitute out the fruit and instead use a caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.
