- 8 ounce cream cheese softened
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
- ½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 1 ½ cups thick caramel sauce
- ½ cup toffee bits
- ¼ cup pecans or walnuts chopped and toasted, optional
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips optional
- Apple slices
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer, blend the cream cheese until smooth.
Add the sugar, vanilla or almond extract and salt, blending until mixed.
Spread the caramel apple mixture into a small casserole dish.
Top with the caramel sauce and toffee bits. Add the nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve with the apple slices.
