Ingredients

  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • ½ teaspoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1 ½ cups thick caramel sauce
  • ½ cup toffee bits
  • ¼ cup pecans or walnuts chopped and toasted, optional
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips optional
  • Apple slices

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer, blend the cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the sugar, vanilla or almond extract and salt, blending until mixed.
  • Spread the caramel apple mixture into a small casserole dish.
  • Top with the caramel sauce and toffee bits. Add the nuts and chocolate chips if desired.
  • Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve with the apple slices.
